Lotus chief executive Dany Bahar has laid bare the business position at Lotus Cars since the takeover of parent company Proton by Malaysia's DRB-Hicom. CAR scored an interview with Bahar at the Hethel headquarters yesterday afternoon. He was abroad at the time of last week's media maelstrom, when rumours and slurs flew around about the state of Lotus's finances.

The Peugeot 508 RXH HYbrid4 is joined by the Peugeot 508 saloon HYbrid4 with UK price and specifications revealed. The Peugeot 508 RXH HYbrid4 – using Peugeot’s 4WD diesel hybrid setup – debuted at Frankfurt last year and is being joined a the 508 HYbrid4 saloon in the UK. Peugeot has now announced prices and specs for both the range-topping RXH hybrid estate and the 508 hybrid saloon – a cheaper offering and perfect for company car buyers with its sub-100g/km CO2 emissions, 100 per cent first year writing-down allowance and decent BIK rates.
Honda showed off two new Civics at the NAIAS 2011: the Civic Si Concept Coupe and the Civic Concept Saloon. They're sadly US-market only, rather than related to the European spec models, themselves up for replacement at the end of 2011. Although 'concepts', these two effectively show what will roll into US showrooms in spring 2011.
The blurb is pretty strict on the difference between the American and Euro Civics: 'The Civic Si coupe and saloon Concepts are US-only design and will not be sold in the UK.
